A US federal court has blocked President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs, in a major blow to a key component of his economic policies. Three judges ruled that the US president overstepped his authority when he used an emergency law to impose tariffs on nearly every country. Moments after the ruling, the Trump administration said it would appeal. Meanwhile, Elon Musk has said he is leaving the Trump administration after helping lead the Department of Government Efficiency, known as Doge.
