On the opposing team, there was this black kid. He was pretty into the game, and to taunt me, he started saying racist and anti-asian things to me. And he went at me pretty hard. It wasn't the first time I experienced racism, but for the first time in my life, I felt like my soul was stripped away, and I was only seen as the colour of my skin. Looking back at it now, what I felt in that moment was probably what he felt from the day he was born.
