President Putin has said that Russia will not retreat from Ukraine or “give away anything that belongs to us”. He made the comments while meeting widows and mothers of Russian soldiers killed in the Ukraine War. He said it would be an escalation of what he called NATO's war against Russia. It comes as European countries step up defence spending and seek to build a “coalition of the willing” to support Ukraine in its war with Russia.
