The story picks up years after the events of Shrek Forever After, with Shrek and Fiona navigating the challenges of parenthood as their ogre children—now mischievous teenagers—discover a magical portal that threatens the stability of Far Far Away. Meanwhile, Donkey finds himself in an unexpected role as an “uncle figure,” joining the kids on a wild, dimension-hopping adventure filled with fairy tale cameos, epic battles, and, of course, plenty of Donkey’s hilariously outrageous antics. DreamWorks teased the addition of new characters, including a cunning villain voiced by Florence Pugh, and a host of fresh sidekicks that promise to breathe new life into the franchise.
